Our client, a well-respected law firm with a strong presence in Surrey, is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant or Paralegal to join their thriving Residential Conveyancing department. Position Overview This role would be ideally suited for someone who enjoys the admin side of the role and isn't looking to progress to a fee-earning position. The Residential Conveyancing Assistant will provide essential support to the fee-earning team, contributing to the smooth running of property transactions and ensuring exceptional client service. This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and collaborative environment. Responsibilities
  • Assist with the management of sales, purchase, and remortgage files
  • Conduct client onboarding, including ID verification and source of funds checks
  • Utilise case management systems and onboarding platforms efficiently
  • Liaise with clients, conveyancers, and estate agents throughout the transaction
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to the fee-earning team
Requirements
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in a busy conveyancing support role
  • Sound knowledge of sales, purchase, and remortgaging processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel)
  • Experience with Case Management Systems is essential
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
