We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Working Mechanical Supervisor to join our team for a commercial leisure centre development project.
Role Overview:
As a Working Mechanical Supervisor, you will oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems within a state-of-the-art leisure centre. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of mechanical works, from heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to plumbing and fire protection systems. You will also lead a team of engineers, working alongside other trades and contractors to ensure timely and safe completion of the project.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead mechanical installation works across the project, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and building codes.

Manage day-to-day mechanical operations, including coordinating the team and overseeing subcontractors.

Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to ensure safe working practices and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Monitor and manage the project schedule to ensure that deadlines are met.

Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting expertise to the team.

Liaise with the project manager, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and progress the work.

Ensure quality control measures are adhered to throughout the mechanical installation process.

Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials, and labour.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.

Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on large-scale commercial projects.

Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

Experience in supervising a team and managing subcontractors.

Knowledge of relevant building codes, health & safety standards, and quality control processes.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Desirable Qualifications & Skills:

CSCS Card (Supervisor or higher).

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent.

First Aid certification.
-
Previous experience on leisure centre or similar high-profile commercial projects.
