PLC Control Systems Engineer
Siemens or Rockwell PLC systems.
Location: London/Surrey border with remote working options

Salary range: 53,000 - 76,000 (depending on experience) + benefits
My client, a leading organisation dedicated to national defence, is actively looking to expand their PLC Control Systems Engineering team and as such are looking for a talented Control Systems Engineer or software engineer to work on advanced technologies and contribute to significant national defence programs.
The focus of this role will be on delivering software design and development for maritime control and instrumentation systems.
Key Responsibilities for the position of PLC Control Systems Engineer/Software Engineer:
- Produce technical documentation in line with company and customer procedures.
- Specify and design PLC control systems solutions.
- Develop PLC software using various design formats such as block diagrams, flow charts, or pseudo code.
- Validate software designs through comprehensive analysis and testing.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and relevant statutory requirements.
Required Experience for the position of PLC Control Systems Engineer/Software Engineer:
- Proven experience in the design and integration of large-scale PLC control systems.
- Familiarity with Siemens or Rockwell PLC systems.
- Experience with fault-tolerant, high-availability, and safety-integrated PLC solutions.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and networking standards.
