Sheet Metal Worker

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out general engineering duties, including countersinking, fettling, riveting, and assembly. There is also the opportunity for the right candidate to be trained to operate an Amada CNC punching machine. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with extensive experience and a good all-round knowledge of sheet metal processes to join a highly reputable company.

Responsibilities

• Perform general engineering duties, including countersinking, fettling, riveting, and assembly
• Operate and maintain sheet metal machinery
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings
• Ensure work is carried out to a high level of precision with tight tolerances and time schedules
• Work unsupervised and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and be trained in operating an Amada CNC punching machine

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sheet metal work
• Good all-round knowledge of sheet metal processes
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings
• Ability to work with precision and adhere to tight tolerances and time schedules

Day-to-day

• Perform sheet metal duties such as countersinking, fettling, riveting, and assembly
• Collaborate with team members on engineering projects
