We are looking for an experienced residential conveyancer or Solicitor to work in our friendly office in New Mills. The position has become available due to one of our long-term employees pending retirement. We are an established law firm in the affluent north Cheshire area with offices in Wilmslow, New Mills and Urmston. We differentiate ourselves from other law firms by being very people focussed both within and outside the firm.
Responsibilities:
Working on a wide range of residential property transactions including straight forward sales and purchases, re-mortgages and equity release: -
- Dealing with initial enquiries including giving quotations.
- Responsible for client files from start to finish of a transaction including post-completion.
- Dealing with leasehold properties for both purchasing and selling.
- Business development through building relationships with Estate Agents, other introducers of work including knowledge of and involvement in local community, networking.
- Other business development activities for the firm under the direction of the Head of Department.
- Participation in Departmental meetings organised by the Head of Department.
Person specification:
At least 3 years PQE dealing with a varied caseload.
To work as part of a team or without supervision and requiring no admin support.
Able to use a combination of both paper and electronic files.
To present a professional image both electronically, verbally and face-to-face with clients.
Good organisation skills.
Although we have a hybrid working policy which applies after the probationary period, ideally the desire to work full-time in our New Mills office is preferred.
