Fortis are working with an engineering client in the Barton-On-Sea area to recruit a mechanical fitter with welding skills to join their team.
The client create bespoke special purpose machinery. The machines vary in size depending on the requirements of their clients. The machines require a mix of mechanical and electrical knowledge but this role is predominantly mechanical. The ideal mechanical fitter will have some welding skills.
You will need to be able to read and interpret engineering drawings / schematics to be able to deliver the clients requirements. This is a workshop based role but there may be a limited amount of travelling to client site. This is a manual position where you will be required to move components and be moving around the workshop so a degree of physical fitness is required.
The hours are 0800 – 1700 Monday – Thursday with a 1300 finish on a Friday, total 39 hours. There is the potential for overtime in the week and Saturday mornings. The mechanical fitter position is paying up to £15 / hr depending on experience.Â
If you are a mechanical fitter looking for a new opportunity please apply now to find out more.
