Sonic Summary

We are seeking a full-time Care Assistant to join our team in a residential care home.
Candidates must have experience in a similar role and be able to work alternate weekend shifts.
The position involves providing high-quality care, assisting residents with daily activities, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
A passion for elderly care, effective communication skills, and a flexible approach are essential for this role.
The salary for this position is competitive, and candidates with a Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care are preferred.

We are looking for a full-time Care Assistant to assist in the provision of care and work as part of a team to achieve the required standards in our residential care home.

Candidates must be able to work alternate weekend shifts.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained at all times, with supporting/assisting the residents, when required, with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing and all other aspects of care.
To ensure all aspects of the management of the home meet with the Health & Social Care Act 2008 and the requirements of CQC.
Observe care planning needs for the residents and complete daily records.
Answer the call bell system, giving assistance as required.
Assist residents who need help during meal times (be aware of swallowing difficulties, dietary requirements etc). Assist with serving of food / drinks as required/ requested. Wash up as required / requested.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Experience of working in a similar role
Passion for elderly care
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Self-motivated and able to work off own initiative
Team player
Flexible and adaptable approach

Desired:

Relevant Vocational Qualification (achieved or working towards), e.g. Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care
