We are looking for a full-time Care Assistant to assist in the provision of care and work as part of a team to achieve the required standards in our residential care home.

Candidates must be able to work alternate weekend shifts.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained at all times, with supporting/assisting the residents, when required, with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing and all other aspects of care.
  • To ensure all aspects of the management of the home meet with the Health & Social Care Act 2008 and the requirements of CQC.
  • Observe care planning needs for the residents and complete daily records.
  • Answer the call bell system, giving assistance as required.
  • Assist residents who need help during meal times (be aware of swallowing difficulties, dietary requirements etc). Assist with serving of food / drinks as required/ requested. Wash up as required / requested.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Passion for elderly care
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Self-motivated and able to work off own initiative
  • Team player
  • Flexible and adaptable approach
Desired:
  • Relevant Vocational Qualification (achieved or working towards), e.g. Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care
