Sheet Metal Worker - Thin Gauge Aluminium


Location: New Milton
Hourly Rate: 17 - 20 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon-Thurs: 7:45 - 16:15, Fri: 7:45 - 12:45)
Shift Patterns: Flexible hours with alternative shift patterns, including a condensed 4-day week (Mon-Thurs)
Overtime: Time and a half

Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Workers specializing in thin gauge aluminium. The role involves fabricating and assembling sheet metal products using hand tools rather than automated equipment. You will be expected to work in a safety-conscious environment, adhering to company health and safety policies, while ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products with precision using thin gauge aluminium
  • Set up and operate fabricating machines and hand tools to cut, bend, and straighten metal materials
  • Shape sheet metal over anvils, blocks, or custom forms, ensuring accurate dimensions and smooth finishes
  • Inspect, assemble, and smooth seams and joints of welded, brazed, or burred surfaces for a flawless end product
  • Support the training of new employees or less experienced team members as required
  • Work in accordance with all company health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
