As a sheet metal worker, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing sheet metal products using a variety of tools and equipment in the aerospace sector. You will become a critical member of the company by ensuring the products made are of the highest standards of safety and quality. The business is now looking for a sheet metal worker to contribute to the streamlined success of projects and services provided.
As the successful sheet metal worker, you’ll benefit from working your 37-hour hours over 4 days (Monday – Thursday).
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities as a sheet metal worker will include:
- Setting up and operating fabrication machinery such as press brakes and guillotines
- Using hand and power tools to smooth surfaces
- Assembly of sheet metal products
- Basic inspection of completed work
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
Background
The successful sheet metal worker must have:
- Previous sheet metal working experience
- Experience working within the aerospace industry
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and diagrams
- High attention to detail and a meticulous attitude
- Ability to work to deadlines with a high level of accuracy
