CC Cousins are a facilities service solutions and maintenance provider. Run by and privately owned by a family with over 40 years industry experience each. We are able to offer an array of services covering a predominantly commercial sector.
We offer a speedy response and are a single point of contact for our clients across a broad variety of works ad services to include: reactive, planned, remedial and emergency works in the commercial sector to include plumbing, roofing, tarmacadam, electrical, carpentry, groundworks, landscaping, glazing to name a few. Our services are delivered at a rate of 90-95% through out own engineers with the remaining specialist works completed by specialist approved contractors that CC Cousins continue to manage as the single point of contact for our client base.
We are looking for an experienced estimator operating from the office and from client sites undertaking the following responsibilities.
Detail of Duties/ Responsibilities.
- Attend site visits and site surveys to complete quotations, meeting with clients onsite when required to gather all information required to allow a detailed quotation to progress.
- Gather required information from site on material, plant, labour and other factors.
- Research materials and equipment. Develop self-knowledge to ensure the business remains up to date with new developments in the industry.
- Submit requests to our estimates supervisor and typists for sub-contractors costs.
- Plan job timescales and assess levels of risk associated to works to be carried out.
- Identify and quantify cost factors such as production time, raw material, equipment, and labour expenses.
- Evaluate cost effectiveness and profitability. Provide advice and recommendations on ways to increase effectiveness and profitability. Support and advise on buying activities
- Provide internal staff with technical knowledge and advice when planning and completing works that have been quoted.
- Represent the organisation at client meetings and external events as required.
