Practice Accountant

A long-standing independent accountancy firm in Newark are hiring a key Accountant job vacancy, with excellent flexibility.

This position can be worked on a hybrid basis, with office and home working split, plus full time or part time hours can be considered. This employer does not do time sheets, but they do look at productivity.

The firm use IT software including Xero for bookkeeping and TaxCalc for accounts production and tax returns. Any prior experience of using these software would be advantageous

The role:

• Producing full finalised accounts to include profit and loss, balance sheet and corporation tax calculations
• Drafting and submission of corporation tax returns
• VAT returns
• Overseeing work of junior staff
• Efficient management of work-flow for outsourcing partners
• Ad hoc payroll cover
