Production Operator
Newark, 37.5 hours per week
3 rotating shifts, 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm and 10pm to 6am
£13.40 per hour
Driving license preferred due to location
Our award-winning, forward-thinking client is looking for a number of Production Operators to join their well-established team in Newark.
Our client is a market leader in their area of expertise within manufacturing of bespoke products for multiple industries.
THE ROLE
Your responsibilities as a Production Operator will include:
- Maintaining production equipment to a high standard
- To ensure all health and safety requirements including PPE are adhered to whilst working on site
- To follow product specifications and produce relevant documentation once product is completed
- To open product moulds, remove product, set up, and close product moulds to the required specification
- Trim and finish products to a high standard
- To operate the assigned machinery
- To locate and use any raw materials required
- Keeping workspace and general area clean and tidy to avoid hazards
- Working pro actively during down time and supporting team members
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal Production Operator will be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience:
- Previous manufacturing background is desirable
- A high level of attention to detail is important
- Operating hand tools
- Knowledge of health and safety in a manufacturing environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills are required
- A satisfactory level and Maths and English is essential
- Time management skills are needed for the role
