Are you an experienced HGV driver looking for regular, reliable work? Pertemps have multiple openings for Class 1 C+E drivers with our client, GXO, in Newark. You will be required to work day shifts and will be required to transport electrical goods to Currys stores or warehouses/RDCs. While delivering at a store you will not have to tip the load yourself but may be required to move the stock with a pump truck to allow for it to be unloaded.
Before you start, you'll need to pass a Class 1 site assessment / induction, this is paid on completion and will take 8 hrs and includes:
- Multiple choice questionnaire surrounding WTD and general knowledge.
- Pre checks / Coupling up
- Driving assessment on the road
- Site induction (Classroom based)
- Consistent Work:Enjoy steady, ongoing assignments all year-round.
- Flexible Shifts:Monday to Friday, Sunday to Thursday or Wednesday to Saturday.
- Flexible start times:Choose your start time window (pick anytime from 04:00 10:00)
- Excellent Pay:£18.19ph £20.23ph on Saturday, £21.25ph on Sunday (all rates are PAYE)
- Paid Holidays:28 days per year (for full-time work).
- Referral Bonus:Earn £100 for each friend you refer.

- Electronic timesheets:Submit electronically for ease and efficiency.
- Experience:Category C+E (HGV 1) license
- Certification:Digital Tachograph card and CPC qualification.
- Clean Record:No DR10, CD10, IN10, no more than 6 points on your license.
- Aged 21 or above.
