Principal Civil Engineer
 Our client is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Principal Civil Engineer to join our collaborative team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, with a primary focus on industrial, manufacturing, commercial, and bespoke engineering solutions. The role involves both structural and civil engineering responsibilities, and the successful candidate will support an Associate Engineer/Director in delivering innovative designs and leading key projects.
Key Responsibilities:
·Lead the design and analysis of structural and civil engineering projects, utilizing multiple materials and addressing various building forms.
·Collaborate within a mixed civil/structural engineering team to deliver cohesive, integrated solutions.
·Take a proactive role in representing all engineering areas in client meetings, ensuring effective communication, and directing key actions back to the design team.
·Manage project finances, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to budget.
·Contribute to the company's marketing efforts, strengthening client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
·Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
·Ensure that designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, prioritizing safety and sustainability.
Qualifications & Experience:
·Chartered or Incorporated status with ICE or IStructE is preferred.
·Extensive experience in structural and civil engineering, with a strong focus on industrial and manufacturing projects.
·Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and oversee both civil and structural engineering aspects of projects.
·Demonstrated expertise in managing project finances, from initial concept to final delivery.
·Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage client relationships and work collaboratively with internal teams.
