SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a First Line Support based in Newark, Nottinghamshire Area.

This role is in the ideal location for candidates based in Newark, Bingham, Lincoln and the surrounding areas. This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career in a thriving and supportive workplace.

We are searching for a candidate that is truly passionate about technology and that has a genuine interest in learning about IT systems! We are happy to consider a more junior candidate looking for their first step into the IT world or a more finished article. The salary will be dependent on experience.

This role is responsible for providing initial technical assistance to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues, and escalating more complex problems to higher-level support teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a solid understanding of IT systems, and a passion for helping others.

Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound support requests via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technical issues, including hardware, software, network, and system problems.
- Log and prioritize support tickets in the IT service management system.
- Provide step-by-step guidance to end-users for resolving technical issues.
- Escalate unresolved issues to second and third-line support teams as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and technical solutions.
- Assist with user account management and access permissions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering excellent service and support.

Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of IT systems, hardware, software, and network technologies.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a customer-facing technical support role is a plus.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools and ticketing systems is desirable.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.

Hours: Monday - Friday 9.00 am - 5.00 pm
Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 (Dependant on experience)
