Principal Sustainability Consultant

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplined design consultancy who specialise in sustainability and ESG services. They are on the lookout for a Principal Sustainability Consultant to manage their energy and sustainability team based in Nottingham and lead on a range of non-domestic projects.

Role responsibilities for a Principal Sustainability Consultant include:

  • Produce sustainability strategies to help clients achieve compliance with their targets
  • Coordinating sustainability strategies and services by working with other team members and supporting planning applications, as well as producing sustainability statements
  • Providing consultant advice on sustainability issues and corporate sustainability metrics
  • Attend project meetings, mentor junior members of staff, managing the budget of individual projects, and maintaining client and delivery team relationships

The ideal Principal Sustainability Consultant will have:

  • Degree within an environmental science, sustainability, or engineering field
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience within a sustainability consultancy role within the construction industry
  • Be a CIBSE accredited Low Carbon Energy Assessor
  • Strong knowledge of London planning requirements as well as UK Building Regulations
  • Experience with carrying out Overheating assessments and strategies using IES-VE software
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
