Supporting a Young Child's Journey
Randstad Tuition Services is seeking a compassionate and patient home tutor to provide individualised support for a young child before their transition to a specialist school later this year.
What You'll Do:
- Build a strong and trusting relationship with the child, encouraging engagement and a love of learning.
- Utilise play-based and therapeutic techniques to support emotional and social development.
- Adapt learning strategies to meet the child's unique needs and interests.
- Introduce academic tuition as the child gains confidence and engagement.
- Monitor progress and adjust teaching methods as needed.
- Work closely with parents/carers to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.
Who You Are:
- You have a passion for helping children with SEN and SEMH needs.
- You are skilled in using alternative communication styles and creative approaches to learning.
- You are patient, nurturing, and genuinely care about making a difference in a child's life.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH needs.
- Experience using alternative communication styles with children.
- A patient, nurturing, and creative approach to learning.
- DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Ability to use therapeutic and play-based techniques to build engagement.
Desirable Requirements:
- BSL (British Sign Language) qualification or knowledge.
- Experience working within an educational or therapeutic setting.
- Driving License
What We Offer:
- Hours: 6 hours per week (potential increase to 15 hours based on engagement)
- Pay: 32 per hour
