Supporting a Young Child's Journey

Randstad Tuition Services is seeking a compassionate and patient home tutor to provide individualised support for a young child before their transition to a specialist school later this year.

What You'll Do:

  • Build a strong and trusting relationship with the child, encouraging engagement and a love of learning.
  • Utilise play-based and therapeutic techniques to support emotional and social development.
  • Adapt learning strategies to meet the child's unique needs and interests.
  • Introduce academic tuition as the child gains confidence and engagement.
  • Monitor progress and adjust teaching methods as needed.
  • Work closely with parents/carers to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.


Who You Are:

  • You have a passion for helping children with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • You are skilled in using alternative communication styles and creative approaches to learning.
  • You are patient, nurturing, and genuinely care about making a difference in a child's life.


Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Experience using alternative communication styles with children.
  • A patient, nurturing, and creative approach to learning.
  • DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Ability to use therapeutic and play-based techniques to build engagement.


Desirable Requirements:

  • BSL (British Sign Language) qualification or knowledge.
  • Experience working within an educational or therapeutic setting.
  • Driving License
