Quantity Surveyor
My client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join them to work on a brand new 300+unit, mixed tenure development in Newark-on-Trent. Your role as a Quantity Surveyor is to provide commercial support on projects to ensure that it is obtained, delivered within budget and to the highest quality.

Roles and Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation, submission and agreement of interim valuations;
  • Subcontractor procurement;
  • Monthly Cost Value Reconciliations;
  • Projecting cost and value to completion;
  • Re-measure and checking of Bills of Quantities;
  • Assessing Subcontractor payment applications;
  • Recording and agreement of contract variations;
  • Agreement of Final Accounts.

The Person

The qualities we are looking for in a Quantity Surveyor:

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office packages
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organizational skills
