We are seeking a Temporary Sales Office Manager to lead their dedicated sales team during a maternity cover period with the view of a permanent position at the end of the contract. We need an enthusiastic leader to drive sales, retain existing business, and develop new customer opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the sales team, ensuring tasks are effectively allocated and personal/team targets are met.
Develop and execute sales strategies to maximise revenue and secure new business opportunities.
Proactively follow up on enquiries, create compelling proposals, negotiate with clients, and convert leads into bookings.
Build and maintain strong relationships with both clients and internal teams to ensure seamless event execution.
Accurately manage and report on sales data, forecasts, and budgets.
Identify new business opportunities and ensure sustained growth in customer engagement.
Required Skills & Experience:
Self-motivated, highly organised, and target-driven.
Minimum 5 years' experience in sales, ideally in a management role within the events, hospitality, or hotel industry.
Proven ability to drive sales success both in person and over the phone.
Strong client retention and new business development skills.
Experience in team leadership, coaching, and mentorship.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
A critical thinker with a process-driven approach.
Understanding of the events and conferences sector is advantageous.
Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
