Are you a dynamic and motivated sales professional looking for an exciting opportunity? This venue is a premier events and conference destination, hosting over 500 events annually. We are seeking a Temporary Sales Office Manager to lead their dedicated sales team during a maternity cover period with the view of a permanent position at the end of the contract. We need an enthusiastic leader to drive sales, retain existing business, and develop new customer opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the sales team, ensuring tasks are effectively allocated and personal/team targets are met.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to maximise revenue and secure new business opportunities.

  • Proactively follow up on enquiries, create compelling proposals, negotiate with clients, and convert leads into bookings.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both clients and internal teams to ensure seamless event execution.

  • Accurately manage and report on sales data, forecasts, and budgets.

  • Identify new business opportunities and ensure sustained growth in customer engagement.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Self-motivated, highly organised, and target-driven.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in sales, ideally in a management role within the events, hospitality, or hotel industry.

  • Proven ability to drive sales success both in person and over the phone.

  • Strong client retention and new business development skills.

  • Experience in team leadership, coaching, and mentorship.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • A critical thinker with a process-driven approach.

  • Understanding of the events and conferences sector is advantageous.

  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
