Hours: Full-time 40 hours Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm + Potential overtime
Senior Wood Machinist & Bench Joiner Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Machinist & Bench Joiner to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating woodworking machinery and assisting in the production of bespoke kitchen components.
Senior Wood Machinist & Bench Joiner Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC routers, panel saws, edge banders, and other woodworking machinery.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists accurately.
- Work with a variety of materials, including hardwood, softwood, MDF, and laminates.
- Assemble kitchen cabinets and bespoke joinery elements to exact specifications.
- Ensure all machine operations are performed safely and accurately.
- Maintain and perform routine servicing of machinery to ensure efficiency.
- Work closely with designers and joiners to ensure seamless production.
- Train and mentor junior staff members in machine operation and joinery techniques.
Senior Wood Machinist & Bench Joiner Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 year's experience as a machinist and joiner in a high-end workshop.
- Skilled in operating CNC machines and other woodworking equipment.
- Strong understanding of joinery techniques and materials.
- Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications.
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Knowledge of workshop safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
