Description

This role will support with driving change throughout the Finance function and the wider business, identifying and resolving risks and implementing new processes to maximise business efficiency and enhance financial controls.

The role has a wide remit and the scope will range from simple process updates to wholesale changes to longstanding but outdated procedures, potentially via the introduction of new technologies.

As well as identifying areas for change, the Transformation / Controls Accountant will be responsible for documenting new processes, selling these into the business and subsequently ensuring that they are being followed correctly.

This is an integral role within the Finance team that requires excellent communication skills and an ability to build effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of financial controls, have the ability to communicate confidently and effectively throughout the business and have strong decision making and analytical skills.

  • Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to identify areas for improvement and drive transformation across finance and operations.
  • Lead the design and implementation of new processes, leveraging technology to modernise longstanding procedures and enhance business efficiency.
  • Document and communicate process changes effectively, ensuring seamless adoption across teams.
  • Provide expert insight into financial controls and governance, safeguarding the business through rigorous analysis and risk identification.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various projects aimed at improving business performance, ensuring that changes align with strategic business goals.

Profile

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with a proven track record in financial transformations and controls.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to take ownership, make decisions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Practical experience delivering change in large corporate environments, with a good understanding of key business drivers and regulatory constraints.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, able to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • A proactive self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments, with a passion for process improvement and change management.
