Management Accountant – Nottinghamshire - to £50k + Study Support + Hybrid WorkingAre you a recently Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or maybe an ambitious and proven Part Qualified Accountant?  Do you want the opportunity to work in a Nationwide organisation that prides itself on developing its people?As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for providing finance support to the Regional Financial Controller/Director through the production of timely and accurate management and financial information. You will also assist the Financial Controller with the preparation of the monthly management accounts for the region within agreed timescales provided by the group.  A big part of this role will be the developing of relationships with stakeholders so you will be able to develop your Finance Business Partnering skills.Key responsibilities…
  • You will assist the Financial Controller with preparation of the monthly management accounts for the region within agreed timescales provided by group
  • You will undertake regional balance sheet reconciliations and own the resolution of issues
  • You will process journals and ensure appropriate approvals are in place
  • You will support the review of all budget and forecast variances through the production of monthly variance reports
  • Liaise with stakeholders regarding budgets, variances and cashflow and risks associated
  • Support the preparation of regional reviews by providing timely cash reporting and variance analysis at a regional and site level
  • Update sales price analysis on a weekly basis and provide the regional management team with a forward forecast of price variance based upon current sales releases and achieved prices-
  • Identify opportunities for savings
