BookkeeperColwick£25,000 - £30,000 DOEWe are looking for a skilled and motivated Bookkeeper to join our client's dynamic team! This full-time position is perfect for someone with solid experience in bookkeeping and credit control who enjoys working independently. You will take ownership of managing data entry, bank reconciliations, invoicing, and credit control using Xero and in-house software.   • Accurately enter all supplier invoices and receipts into Xero accounting software, ensuring the correct account and VAT codes are applied.
  • Liaise with the purchasing team to verify invoice amounts.
  • Reconcile bank accounts in Xero against both sales invoices and supplier bills.
  • Utilise in-house software to prepare and send monthly sales invoices, as well as any ad hoc invoices, while coordinating with subcontractors and the sales team.
  • Manage credit control, ensuring customer credit accounts are paid on time and providing regular reports to management.
  • Send bi-weekly or monthly statements to customers.
  • Generate monthly accounting reports.
  • Oversee and manage the account's email inbox efficiently.

About you:

  • Have previous experience working within a similar role.
  • Be proficient with cloud-based accountancy software such as Xero.
  • Be familiar with HMRC requirements and processes.
  • Be able to work independently without supervision.
  • Be a confident communicator, able to deal independently with suppliers and customers.
