In this newly created role, the successful candidate will be integral in driving and directing activities focused on analysis and modelling of complex data, using innovative techniques & applications to extract and digest the necessary intelligence. The role offers a healthy blend of project delivery work and hands-on’ analytics.

Selection of responsibilities:

  • Drive and deliver analytics projects from inception to completion, controlling project roadmaps and communicating progress, challenges, and actions at all stages of the project life cycle -whilst still contributing at a hands-on’ level (data analysis, insight production etc.)
  • Inspecting, cleansing, transforming, modelling and interrogating client & industry data to support decision making, deliver business outcomes and adopt an insight to action management approach
  • Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and analysts to deliver sophisticated data analysis
  • Play a leading role in data articulation & visualization, comfortable telling the story 'behind’ data through leading BI tools (Power, Tableau)
  • Work in a cross -functional delivery environment, interfacing with customers and internal teams to translate business objectives into analytically led solutions
  • Communicating methodologies and outputs to customers
  • Identify and take advantage of the opportunities offered to learn new technologies and relatedanalytical skill sets

Selection of skills required:

  • Experience working on data centric projects in a previous role (either to external customers or internally within a large/cross-functional business environment)
  • Degree qualified in a STEM discipline from a leading University
  • Passionate about using data and advanced analytics to solve problems
  • Data Analysis & Modelling experience and quantitative analytical skills
  • Well versed statistical skills
  • Experience using any data transformation and data visualisation tools (such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau) would be an advantage but not essential
  • Exposure or knowledge of Geospatial data sets and relevant GIS applications - desirable
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Ability to deal with customers, understand requirements and build out relevant action clients indifferent situations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stay current with business and industry trends
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a workload involving multiple projects and deadlines
