Interim Consultant – Service Review

Duration: 3–6 months (with potential extensions)Start Date: April 2025Rate: Negotiable based on experience

Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced Interim Consultant to support a critical Service Review within a local government setting. This role will work closely with the Executive Director – Operations to deliver the review and oversee key operational and organisational changes, including managing lift and shift processes and supporting recruitment for senior roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Executive Director – Operations in implementing a service review and addressing operational issues
  • Manage and implement lift and shift arrangements, ensuring smooth transitions
  • Prepare Officer Decision Records for additional lift and shift processes
  • Implement agreed review recommendations and officer/councillor procedures
  • Assist in the recruitment process for an Assistant Director and Service Manager post

Essential Requirements:

  • Significant expertise in Community Safety and Local Government
  • Strong understanding of programme management and change delivery (preferable)
