My client in Nottinghamshire is looking to appoint a talented Data Protection Officer / Team Leader on a Contract basis.

The role is to manage the Authority's compliance and statutory obligations under The Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK General Data Protection Regulation and associated legislation.

About the role:

Based in Nottinghamshire (Hybrid):

  • To manage the Data Protection Team and the release of personal data as permitted under the Data Protection Act 2018 in accordance with the statutory requirements and deadlines prescribed by that legislation.
  • Strategically and operationally prepare the Authority for the implementation of the new General Data Protection Regulations
  • Be responsible for the work of the Data Protection team and provide support and supervision to departmental staff allocated to work on Information projects.
  • Develop and review Data Protection corporate policies, procedures and strategies as appropriate for the City Council in consultation with all interested parties

About you:You will have the following experiences:

  • Certified Data Protection (GDPR) Practitioner
  • Sound, up to date knowledge of the latest Data Protection legislation.
  • Experience managing a sizeable Data Protection / Information Governance team
  • Public Sector experience is highly advantageous

What's on offer:

  • Salary: £300-£400 per day, inside IR35
