Principal Engineer

We are actively seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to join a thriving Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy based in Nottinghamshire. In this role, you will help manage one of their busiest teams, contributing to a growing division focused on industrial and manufacturing facilities. You will be involved from the land acquisition phase through to planning, tender, and construction (including detailed design) stages.

The ideal candidate will bring a professional and commercial perspective, along with the following qualifications:

  • A relevant first-class degree (e.g., MEng in Structural Engineering)
  • Associate membership (ICE or IStructE), chartered status, or nearing chartered status
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience in designing with multiple materials and analysing varied building forms

Key responsibilities for this Principal Engineer include i

  • Working within a mixed civil/structural engineering team, with competency in either field
  • Supporting a current Associate Engineer/Director
  • Demonstrating expertise and providing technical guidance
  • Managing projects of various scales
