Working across domestic and commercial sectors, Thorn Baker's design and fit-out businessis now looking for an Estimator. They specialise in complex care environments with specialist equipment, fixtures & furniture, and back it up by ongoing servicing & maintenance support.This role will work closely with the Commercial Director to ensure the Company is costing Projects competitively whilst considering potential risks and achieving Company objectives, often working across departments to assist in this goal.

Your Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare competitive cost estimates for projects based on technical drawings and specifications
• Collaborate with clients and contractors to clarify project requirements and resolve queries
• Obtain and analyse pricing from vendors and subcontractors
• Suggest cost effective alternatives without compromising quality
• Prepare and submit tenders, ensuring deadlines are met
• Identify potential financial risks in a project and provide mitigation strategies
• Develop budgets and monitor project expenses
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions
• Ensure project costs adhere to legal and industry standards
• Provide financial reports and cost forecasts to stakeholders
• Conduct post project analysis
• Systems maintenance & upkeep (Procore & SAP ByD) following process guidelines and task management activities.
