Driver Trainer/Training Manager

Location: Nottingham

Are you a qualified HGV driving instructor or assessor professional looking for an exciting career move with a track record of fleet and transport compliance?

The purpose of this role is to provide sufficient training to ensure all drivers are fully trained to the required standards on all aspects of driving, operation of vehicle equipment, Health and Safety, periodic training and the relevant legislative required to perform their role.

This company are one of the leading providers of Environmental and Sustainability solutions to a wide range of industries across the UK and Ireland. Primarily centred around Waste Management, they are expanding rapidly in the fields of Resource Recovery and Circular Economy, ensuring nothing truly goes to waste. They are leading key UK and Ireland sustainability projects as they look to recycle more materials ranging from Metals, Plastics and Oil through to Hazardous Waste and identifying ways to utilise these to create clean energy and fully recycled products.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Training Drivers to the highest standard regarding driving and safety.
  • Training to safely handle operation equipment and vehicles on customer sites and other sites,
  • Provide support in achieving relevant FORS accreditation.
  • Assessing driver training, providing guidance, coaching on driving techniques, operational equipment, managing SWPS - safe working procedures.

What We Are Looking For?

  • Good organization and calendar management
  • HGV Qualified driving instructor or Assessor
  • Waste Management vehicle equipment minimum train the trainer and other relevant qualifications
  • Knowledge of Fleet and transport compliance, driver compliance, tachographs, license checks.
