The Role
My client is looking for an Electrical Engineer for their production facility based in Nottinghamshire. You will support the production of pipework for major infrastructure projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Engineer you will be required to undertake an Electrical design role on high pressure pipeline and plant systems, working to high engineering standards within the budgets and timescales set by our clients. You will be enthusiastic and conscientious about the work you produce, leading by example with good attention to detail. You will have the ability to learn quickly and work methodically under your own initiative and as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will also have awareness and commitment to health, safety and environmental procedures relating to design and construction activities.
The Candidate

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience working within utility, pipeline or related industries, and have good working knowledge of the applicable design codes including BS7671 - electrical wiring regulations and British Standards.

You will have gained at least a 2:1 (Upper Second-Class honours) in an Electrical Engineering degree, and be registered with an appropriate institution.

You also will be working towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status.
In addition, it would be advantageous if you had C&G 2396 electrical design qualification and knowledge / experience of the following.

Autocad 2D
-
ATEX / DSEAR Compliance

Formal Process Safety Assessments i.e. HAZOP, HAZID, HAZCON, SWDS

Safety Integrity (BS EN 61508 / BS EN 61511)
The successful candidate will also be expected to carry out Instrumentation designs, and a knowledge of instrumentation systems would be an advantage.
