A role that will be part of the company’s succession planning to Head of Finance?  If so, this role could be what you are looking for.  Cherry Professional are delighted to be working with a high-growth Energy company that is based in the East Midlands. This role is integral in supporting the Board, Head of Finance and the SLT, playing a key role in in delivering best-in-class reporting, performance, control and governance frameworks.Key Responsibilities….*            You will drive the budgeting & forecasting processes, including stress-testing gross margin and cost assumptions, assessment and reporting of risks and opportunities, and analysis of capital expenditure investments for management decision-making.*            You will develop and maintain financial processes and a strong financial control environment.*            You will develop management and board reporting packages, analysing the company’s operating results and providing appropriate commentary for different stakeholders.*            You will partner with the Commercial department and out-sourced trading operations to accurately record and understand monthly actual and forecast gross margin.*            You will support the annual audit, review of statutory accounts (produced by outsourced partner), deliver statutory accounts disclosures*            You will develop and track key financial performance indicators*            You will maintain and update 13-week cash flow model and any other liquidity analysis required for lender reporting and monitoring of credit exposure.*            You will develop and maintain the Bank and Asset Valuation models to support engagement with Project Lenders, Investors and prospective partners, and allow for evaluation of debt financing options at the project level.*            You will manage the overall integrated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow life-time value model and run scenarios relating to further investments, distributions and changes in market conditions.*            You will develop new financial models to support the evaluation of new business growth opportunities, capital investment projects and new trading / commercial products and services to be offered by the business.*            You will deputise for the Head of Finance when requiredWhat the Client is looking for…*            Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA with 4-8 years post qualified experience*            Proficient in Excel and advanced financial modelling (3 statement modelling).*            Understanding of valuation and other finance & accounting concepts.*            Strong strategic agility, critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.*            Experience of leading change in financial processesWhat’s on offer…*            £70-£80,000 (DOE) + benefits package inc 15% Bonus + generous pension*            A challenging and rewarding role in a dynamic and growing company.*            Hybrid working pattern (3 & 2)*            Part of the company’s succession planningIf this role sounds like you, please do get in touch.  I am always happy to have a confidential conversation about the role or even about the wider market.Jobs you may have applied for include Finance Controller, Group Financial Controller, Group Accountant, Head of FinanceThe role is based in Nottinghamshire but is commutable from Derby, Nottingham, Sheffield, Doncaster and LincolnCherry Professional are delighted to be recruiting this role on behalf of the client.Cherry Professional are recruiting for this opportunity on behalf of our client.
