Our client is a well-regarded business operating with the legal and financial services sector with offices based across the East Midlands and exciting plans for continued growth.As a result of the above, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Head of Finance to join the business.

This position is being recruited on a full time permanent basis and can be based from any of the clients offices within the East Midlands and will require some travel between offices alongside WFH.

  • Supporting Group CFO and Firm Managing Partner
  • Help develop and implement daily cash flow forecasts and rolling monthly/annual models, ensuring the organisation maintained optimal liquidity.
  • Effectively supervised and mentored a team of 2 finance staff (Legal Cashier / Accounts Assistant.
  • Conducted detailed variance analysis, comparing actual performance against budgeted/forecast figures, leading to the identification and rectification of key financial discrepancies during month-end closings.
  • Utilise Xero for reporting, including Xero Payroll,
  • Ensure the timely and accurate production and filing of all statutory reports, including statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, and other required statutory returns (P11Ds, FCA Reg Data, and VAT submissions).
  • Automated the supplier and payroll payment process using bulk upload templates.
  • Led the annual audit process with external auditors, ensuring timely completion.
  • Responsible for the review of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Authorise and process supplier BACS payment and Payroll, managing multiple accounts

The ideal candidate will ideally be qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / AAT) or working towards formal qualification and ideally have the benefit of previous experience gained working within an either a Law firm (with knowledge of SRA regulations) or AN other regulated industryThis position will work closely with the CFO for the Group and Firm Managing Partner playing a key role in the financial and operational management of the firm.In return my client is able to offer this position with Hybrid working, a basic salary up to £80,000 + Bonus and excellent company benefits.
