As Head of Finance, you’ll play a pivotal role within a thriving business based in Nottingham. This position places you at the core of an exceptionally successful organisation, driving process improvements to boost efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

With a strong focus on financial modelling and advanced system capabilities, you’ll optimise reporting and provide actionable insights. Acting as a key business partner to non-financial stakeholders, you’ll ensure clarity in financial communication, empowering decision-making across the organisation.

Your responsibilities will encompass cash-flow management, producing accurate weekly and monthly reports and forecasts, reviewing management accounts, and preparing board packs. You'll also enhance reporting systems, provide financial insights, and support strategic decisions to achieve organisational objectives. You can:

  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and enhance accounts, board packs, and statutory statements
  • Deliver timely cash flow forecasts to support liquidity and business objectives
  • Oversee payroll operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Provide budgets, analysis, and financial insights to support strategic decisions
  • Drive process improvements and optimise accounting systems for growth
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver insights and improve performance
  • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering collaboration and continuous learning
  • Champion analytics to embed data-driven decision-making, drawing valuable insights from large data sets to enhance business performance

About you:

  • Fully qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
  • Advanced Excel skills and expertise in financial modelling
  • Proven ability to develop robust data collation and reporting systems
  • Experience working in a growing organisation with the ability to bridge the gap between finance and commercial teams
