Health and Safety Advisor
Location: Colwick, Nottinghamshire (with occasional travel to Leicester sites)
Full Time Permanent role
Working Hours: 40 hours a week Monday - Friday

Responsibilities
- Support compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at our Colwick and Leicester sites.
- Work closely with site management to promote a safe, proactive work culture.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring that recommendations are actioned.
- Lead incident investigations, provide guidance on policy updates, and offer hands-on support for safety improvements.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, contributing to their professional growth and fostering a collaborative safety-first culture.
Experience Required
- Previous experience in Health and Safety within waste, recycling, or manufacturing environments, or a similar industry.
- NEBOSH qualification required; knowledge of COMAH sites and DSEAR risks is a plus.
- Experience managing incident reporting systems including allocating incidents, conducting risk assessments, leading investigations, and performing internal audits to uphold compliance and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills, with a practical, hands-on approach to safety.
