Community Care Assistant

Location: Nottingham, Gedling (NG4)

Pay: £11.60 per hour (£12.30 per hour for weekend shifts)

Travel Pay: 45p Per Mile, 16p Per Minute of Travel Time

Hours:

Morning Shift: 7:00am - 2:00pmEvening Shift: 4:00pm - 9:00pmFlexibility to work either one shift or both (split shifts) is available.You will be expected to work 1 weekend out of every 2.

About the Role:We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Assistant to provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes. You will help service users maintain their independence and dignity while assisting with personal care, medication, meals, and social activities. Your role will also involve supporting their physical and emotional well-being, ensuring comfort, safety, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Administer medication according to individual care plans.
  • Prepare meals and accommodate dietary needs.
  • Support clients with social and physical activities to promote independence.
  • Monitor clients' health and report any concerns promptly.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • A Driving Licence & access to a vehicle is essential.
  • A passion for helping others and improving their quality of life.
  • Flexibility to work the shifts outlined above, including one weekend out of two.
  • Previous experience in care or a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
  • Willingness to participate in mandatory training when required.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
