Are you an experienced Controls Engineer Manager with an electrical engineering background and strong control systems experience?

You will be working as a Controls Engineer Managerfor a market leading supplier of integrated warehouse automation solutions. Our client has experienced exciting growth over recent years and because of this, it would be a fantastic time to join them, as they will really invest in your career progression.

This is an important and integral role within the business by running the Controls Department which includes people management, delivering operational objectives, projects, contributing recommendations and sharing information.

Duties of a Controls Engineer Manager:

  • Achieve electrical engineering operational objectives for the business by contributing information and strategic recommendations.
  • Planning of electrical projects which includes selecting contractors, installation schedules, integrating requirements with architectural & mechanical designs and verifying code requirements.
  • Updating and support managing costs estimates.
  • Maintaining electrical systems through preventative maintenance work, testings, scheduling repairs and coordinating shut-downs and installations.
  • Be a market expert within your role by remaining up to date on PLC coding and staying up to date with industry standards.
  • Lead operations with a strong focus on health & safety and legal regulations.

Skills and experience required of a Controls Engineer Manager:

  • Effective people management experience.
  • Experience and understanding of PLC coding.
  • Experience in project management and coordinating team activities to achieve business objectives.
  • Electrical engineering background with strong control systems experience.
  • Solutions and design experience.
  • Experience of working to deadlines.
  • Working in a collaborative working environment.
  • Have good customer service experience.
