Empowering Learning are working in partnership with one of our alternate provision schools based in East Bridgford. The school are looking to appoint a learning and behaviour mentor onto a permanent contract. School based experience is preferred but not essential. We are willing to consider people from:

The school are looking for people who:

  • Have a resilient attitude
  • Can build relationships with children with challenging behaviours
  • Will help to engage pupils within lessons
  • Can act as a positive role model to the children
  • Possess an empathy towards pupils from challenging backgrounds

The main duties within the role will be:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis
  • Leading academic sessions around maths and English
  • Liaising with senior staff in school around progress of the children
  • De-escalating situations where challenging behaviour has arisen

This role will be full time and permanent and salary will be between £20,500 and £23,500 dependent upon experience and qualifications.
