Eden Brown Synergy has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) with an interest to consider a varied role to work across x4 residential services settings.

The residential settings offer specialist rehabilitation and management of neurological conditions, acquired brain injuries for those moving towards independent living

Hours: 37.5 hours p/w, working across x4 residential service settings around Northampton and Leicester. The position offers flexibility around work structures and based on service needs.

The Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) would be responsible to:

  • Provide assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders
  • Devise evidence-led therapy programmes at a specialist level, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary working to achieve the best outcomes for our patients
  • Maintain high standards of clinical care in line with national guidance for excellence
  • Named Therapist duties to ensure cohesive goal-setting and therapy and coordinating discharge
  • Participate in internal training (induction, mandatory training, MDT in-service)
  • Ensure all relevant codes of practice and regulations are upheld
  • Participate in service delivery audit and quality improvement initiatives
  • Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights

To qualify for this post the Speech & Language Therapist (SLT) would have:

  • HCPC registration
  • Previous experience of working in a neurorehabilitation setting
  • Experience in working with aphasia, cognitive communication disorder, dysarthria, apraxia, and dysphagia is essential
  • Specialist level dysphagia competency on RCSLT framework
  • Ability to motivate patients over short & long periods
