My client who specialises in groundwork's and maintenance are looking for a Transport Planner on a temp to perm basis.This role offers the opportunity to be part of a great friendly team but also to work on your own accord to plan site visits for the off site team throughout the working week.Role duties:
  • Plan and coordinate work schedules, optimising routes for safe and timely maintenance programs
  • Monitor and manage driver schedules in real-time, making adjustments to maintain service levels.
  • Liaise closely with drivers, safety teams, and customer service to communicate any route changes or updates.
  • Address transport issues such as delays, breakdowns, or safety concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Communication. 
Skills:
  • Previous experience in a transport planning role.
  • Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail, especially regarding safety and compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external clients.
  • Proactive, problem-solving approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Salary between £25000-£28000 per annum ( Paid as an hourly rate for the first 12 weeks)Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pmOther benefits once permanent will include bonus, private medical, life insurance and pension scheme.Due to the location of the company, own transport would be essential.
