Job Title: PMLD Teaching Assistant
Location: Chesterfield (S40)
Pay Rate: £85 - £100 per day

Do you have experience supporting students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD)? Are you trained in moving and handling, PEG feeding, and hoist use? GSL Education is seeking a dedicated PMLD Teaching Assistant to support students with complex needs in schools across Chesterfield.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with PMLD, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
Assist with personal care, including PEG feeding, toileting, and hygiene routines.
Use specialist equipment such as hoists to support safe movement and mobility.
Follow individual care and education plans to promote engagement and independence.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic support.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with students with PMLD is essential.
Training in hoist use, PEG feeding, and moving & handling is required.
A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with students with complex needs.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
