Salary: £150 - £200 per day (Depending on experience)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (08:30 - 16:30)

About the Role:
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that encourage students to explore and develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts. You will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with the potential for Key Stage 5, depending on experience), ensuring students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with Key Stage 5 optional, depending on specialism).
- Deliver Science lessons that cater to the needs of students with special educational needs, ensuring content is accessible and engaging.
- Modify the Science curriculum to meet individual students’ needs and abilities.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to create an interactive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide additional support to students requiring help with their learning and development.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and the SENCO to ensure effective differentiation and support.
Science Teacher requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification in Science.
- Experience teaching Science at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
- A proven track record of raising student attainment and delivering outstanding lessons.
- Subject specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics is desirable, but a strong general Science background is essential.
- Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- A valid UK driving licence and the ability to commute to the school.
- A strong understanding of the UK Science curriculum and the ability to adapt it for SEN students.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
