A passionate Head Chef with previous experience is needed to join our team at The Bridge Inn in Ratho on a full-time basis.

This 1AA rosette, award-winning pub with rooms has long been a favourite destination for visitors and locals alike. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.

The Bridge Inn boasts stunning views of the Union Canal and offers a 70-cover restaurant, cosy pub, and outdoor beer garden with its own bar and pizza kitchen. 

With four individually designed bedrooms, all offering views of the canal, this is a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced Head Chef. This role offers excellent earning potential with an OTE of £50,000 along with numerous benefits!

Key Responsibilities:

  • You'll be responsible for managing all day-to-day kitchen related activities for the property. Including but not limited to menu creation and delivery, wage control, margin control, recruitment and health and safety
  • You inspire your team to create memorable experiences for all our guests
  • You hold yourself and others to a high level of professionalism and integrity, making key decisions based on what is best for the guest and the business overall
  • You'll report to the General Manager, with regular interaction with the Operations Manager and Owners
  • Maintain our 1AA Rosettes
  • Create, execute, and produce top-notch food with a constant eye on the highest quality standards, presentation, and flavour
  • Ensure statutory compliance in all food related areas
  • You will keep well-organised storerooms and inventories that allow for smooth running kitchens
  • Properly and adequately train your team while focusing on maintaining a high team morale
  • You will consistently deliver food margins in line with budget and will have a thorough understanding of how to cost dishes and manage margins

Required Experience:

  • You'll be a Head Chef that lives and breathes food and drink, knowing what's hot and what's not, but you'll also be a pragmatist who can compromise in order to deliver what our guests want
  • You will have experience in a large, high-volume restaurant
  • You will be ambitious and want to work for an ambitious company
  • You'll be an absolute stickler for quality
  • Experience in an AA Rosette environment is beneficial, but not essential
  • You make people feel good - your team, guests and colleagues alike
  • Methodical and process-driven approach to tasks, but also able to work flexibly and calmly to meet deadlines
  • Ability to take ownership of important issues, solve problems and make effective decisions
  • Ability to work positively and collaboratively to achieve the highest standards of delivery at work
