We have an exciting opportunity at our Edinburgh Airport site for a qualified Technician to join our team.

Our client is a market leader in the field of Ground Service Equipment repair and maintenance.

The Role

This is a varied position where you will play a crucial role in the company's success by applying your expert mechanical knowledge to diagnose and repair equipment. This includes towing tractors, aircraft tugs, baggage elevators, and a variety of specialist, unique vehicles.

The ideal candidate will be mechanically skilled and a proactive problem solver, ensuring the effective maintenance of on-site equipment.

The Person

  • Self-motivated with strong organisational skills
  • Clear understanding of Health and Safety systems
  • Ability to work independently and under your own initiative
  • A team player, open to new ideas and collaboration

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working on commercial or plant vehicles
  • City and Guilds Level 3 certification in Motor Mechanics or equivalent (essential)
  • Welding experience (desirable)

Additional Requirements

  • Demonstrate the Right to Work in the UK
  • Obtain an airside pass, requiring a criminal record check and 5-year history verification
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence
  • Provide certifications for all qualifications

Working Hours

Shift Pattern: Weekly Roster as follows:

  • Week 1: Monday to Friday
  • Week 2: Monday to Friday
  • Week 3: Monday to Sunday
  • Week 4: Wednesday to Friday

Shifts: 06:00 - 14:30 or 08:00 - 16:30

On-call Rota: Participation in the on-call rota is mandatory and is paid at £15 per day.
