Blue Arrow are working with a market leading steel trading and distribution company in Newbridge industrial estate for a Machine/Warehouse Operative on a temporary to permanent basis.This position is working Monday-Friday2 shift patterns are available 1 Nightshift and 1 Nightshift/Backshift rotationOvertime is available£12.50 /hourPlease note there will be 4 weeks training / induction where you will be required to work dayshiftThis is a unique opportunity to kickstart a career in the industry with all the training you need to be successful. Our client is focused on the longevity of staff service. They are a friendly and relaxed team who will be there to fully support you throughout your training.Due to the location of the site, drivers with their own transport would be preferredAs part of your daily duties you will be:- Driving a forklift (training provided)- Loading vehicles using an overhead crane- Operating a steel saw- Manual handling- Moving heavy loads with machinery- Operating in a safe manner following all health & safety procedures on site.The company will train the successful candidate on all machinery and all health and safety procedures in place.Experience working within the steel/metal industry or working with similar machinery would be advantageous.
