An experienced Bar Manager is needed to join our team at The Bridge Inn, an award-winning 1 AA Rosette gastropub with rooms based in Ratho, Edinburgh on a full-time basis.

We are excited to be recruiting for a passionate and driven hospitality professional looking for their next exciting challenge to lead our team and bring fresh energy to our thriving gastropub.

Nestled on the picturesque banks of the Union Canal, just west of Edinburgh, The Bridge Inn is a 1 AA Rosette-awarded destination known for its exceptional food, warm hospitality, and buzzing atmosphere. With a fantastic restaurant, a lively bar, and cosy guest rooms, we offer an unforgettable experience for both locals and visitors. Now, we need a bar manager with the vision and enthusiasm to take our bar to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Running the show behind the bar, ensuring top-quality service and a fantastic guest experience
  • Leading, mentoring, and motivating a passionate team of bar staff
  • Crafting exciting drinks menus and promotions to keep things fresh and interesting
  • Managing stock, ordering, and inventory to keep the bar running smoothly and profitably
  • Creating a positive, professional, and energetic working environment
  • Handling customer feedback with confidence and delivering service that keeps guests coming back
  • Taking on duty manager responsibilities, overseeing the wider pub, restaurant, and guest rooms when needed

Required Skills:

  • A proven track record in bar management or a leadership role in hospitality
  • A natural leader who can inspire and develop a high-performing team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Financial know-how and experience in stock control and cost management
  • Creativity and innovation when it comes to drinks, menus, and promotions
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and licensing regulations
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy periods
  • Experience managing a pub restaurant with rooms is a plus
