Sheridan Maine are pleased to be working with an expanding business based in Newbury on an exclusive basis to recruit a Senior Accounts Assistant.This fantastic newly created role will be involved in a wide variety of activities including the following:
  • Managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions; invoicing, payments, reconciliations, credit control, queries
  • Assisting with month end tasks; accruals & prepayments, fixed assets, intercompany reconciliations, journals
  • Financial reporting; cashflow, aged debt, management information
  • Additional duties; VAT returns, cash management, assisting with audit
The ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience:
  • Previous experience in a similar accounting role
  • AAT qualified or part qualified CIMA/ ACCA
  • A good understanding of bookkeeping and credits/ debits
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbally
  • Proactive approach and problem solving skills
