The Data Cabling Engineer will support the Centre Manager by executing ticket-based BAU / Break Fix and other installations; to include Testing, Terminating, Patching & Labelling of all cross-connects in the facilities (COAX, Cat5/6, Fibre).This role requires an Engineer based locally in the Newbury/Reading area, who has a full UK valid driving license.Role Requirements* Pulling various lengths cables and Installing in various building locations (and different heights)* Testing and terminating cables* Patching panels.* Solving issues related to cables and networks.* Finding errors through proven cabling methodologies* Physically handling and installing of computer cabinet and rack systems in conjunction with the above* Manual handling of materials delivered to works site* Ensuring adherence to company Health & Safety PoliciesRequired Skills & Experience* Ability to work in different physical environments to install Cat 5, 6, 6a copper cabling* OM1- OM5 fibre solution experience (highly desirable)* Experience of delivering cabling services against SLA type formal sub-contracts.* Rack and stack experience* Experience of Telecommunications / Data Infrastructure Cabling deployments* Ability to absorb and manage new services and applications* Experience and temperament to deal with multiple site works across 3 close proximity locationsDesirable* Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) or ECS* CDM Awareness, Asbestos, Health and Safety Training (Training can be provided)* Basic understanding of AutoCAD (or equivalent) drawings / files.* Experience of Physical Security deploymentsFor more information or immediate consideration for this opportunity, please contact Charlie Grant at CPS Group UK on or email By applying to this advert you are giving CPS Group (UK) Ltd authority to hold and process your data for this specific role and any other roles we may deem suitable to you over time.
