Job Title: Estimator

Position Summary:

Seeking a skilled Estimator to support the tendering and pricing of a diverse range of projects, including natural turf sports facilities, sports turf renovations, earthworks, land drainage, equestrian works, civil construction, and landscaping. Project values typically range from 25,000 to 2.5 million.

The role involves interpreting client requirements and preparing commercially viable estimates by sourcing competitive pricing for materials, labour, and plant. The successful candidate will be expected to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with internal standards and policies.

Reporting Line:

This position reports to the Commercial Director and works collaboratively with an experienced and supportive management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and submission of tenders, bids, and programmes, ensuring alignment with deadlines and business goals

  • Review and interpret project plans and specifications

  • Conduct accurate material take-offs and quantity calculations

  • Source quotes and negotiate pricing with suppliers and vendors

  • Attend site visits and meetings as required

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders

  • Contribute to smooth handovers from estimating to project delivery teams

  • Promote efficient use of company resources in all estimating activities

  • Provide performance data and feedback on supply chain partners as needed

  • Support business development efforts with architects, suppliers, and clients
