A stunning career move with an industry leader in decarbonisation. The Cloud Team Leader will lead a growing team of software developers and AWS cloud engineers and spearhead the development of secure & scalable, AWS hosted products.
This is a hands-on Cloud Team Leader role. You will need strong software development experience plus AWS cloud design experience.
You will build a high performing team, fostering innovation and ensuring that the team leverages the cloud securely & effectively to achieve business objectives. Working closely with other team leads, chief architect, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure that software products meet the needs of customers.
Responsibilities:- Lead, manage and mentor a team of cloud engineers and developers
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure and applications
- Develop Services & APIs in a Serverless and Server based cloud IoT environment
- Work in close partnership with product management ensuring delivery of business goals
- Automate cloud operations and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with other teams (e.g., DevOps) to ensure successful cloud adoption
- Help the company achieve the goal of adopting test-driven development
- Proactively identify and address potential cloud risks and challenges
- Degree in software engineering related subject or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in design and delivery of AWS based SaaS deployments
- Extensive software development experience, knowledge of Java, Python, JavaScript, OOD, and functional programming concepts
- Large-scale data architectures
- Microservice and Serverless development
- Agile software development
- Ability to coach, develop and mentor a team
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Pro)
- Experience of IoT development, deployment and management
- Knowledge of the UK energy sector
