My client, a well established main contractor across multiple sectors, is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join them on a permanent basis, covering projects in and around the Thames Valley. Experience in delivering Commercial and Educational New Builds and Refurbishments is extremely desirable.
Contracts Manager Responsibilities:
- Preparing tenders for clients and commercial bids to help bring in new business
- Developing and presenting project proposals
- Meeting with clients to find out their requirements
- Producing plans and estimating budgets and timescales
- Agreeing to and managing budgets and timescales
- Attending site meetings to monitor progress
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, site and project managers
- Making sure construction projects meet agreed technical standards
- Liaising with technical and financial staff, sub-contractors, legal teams
- Ensuring all sites are following Health & Safety best practice and procedures
Contracts Manager Requirements:
- Proven track record as a Contracts Manager, ideally covering Commercial and builds
- Ability to manage several sites at once
- Good understanding of the full construction process from pre-planning to completion
- Excellent communication skills and strong leadership skills
- Up to date with Health and Safety best practice and regulations as well as quality control processes
